G. Lappas MSc

Researcher - Physics Researcher

Georgios Lappas (Athens, Greece) studied at University of Thessaly, Greece, where he obtained a BSc degree in Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics. Next, he pursued his MSc studies in Biomedical Engineering, at the University of Twente, the Netherlands. During his master’s program, he became interested in software development for biomedical applications utilizing deep learning and medical imaging algorithms. In April 2020, he started as a researcher at the Physics Research group of Maastro working on process automation in preclinical radiotherapy pipeline for rodents. More specifically, his work focuses on autocontouring, for organs at risk and tumors, exploiting artificial intelligence contributing in higher precision preclinical and translation research.
