H. (Hajar) Hasannejadasl MSc

PhD-student - Clinical Data Science

I studied software engineering for my bachelor’s. it helped me to get an overall perspective of this field, but it was not enough for me. I always looked for practical applications of my major, especially in medicine. Therefore I chose Medical Informatics for my master’s. For my master thesis, I established a mobile-based self-management system for tubercular patients.

I started my PhD in clinical data science at Maastro in 2019. Currently, I’m working in translational research on the clinical implementation of innovative data science. We are looking for the application of cancer outcome prediction models to improve routine care.
“Putting patients first” is not just a slogan, it’s the essence of healthcare. I believe the primary goal of the healthcare team including doctors, nurses, and researchers is to provide patients with high-quality safe care. Therefore I’m looking for innovative ways to assist cancer patients in their health decision-making process.

My areas of expertise:
Mobile health
Shared decision making
Decision support systems
