Murillo Bellezzo (São Paulo, Brazil) has a bachelor’s degree in physics and a MSc degree in nuclear technology, both emitted by the University of São Paulo. He started his double PhD, co-guided by Maastricht University and University of São Paulo, in February of 2016 with a focus on brachytherapy, including Monte Carlo simulations, evaluation of current applicators, treatment precision and its limitations, and development of new techniques.
